Getting started

About 15 minutes, nothing technical. When you're done, your kid chats with ChatGPT and Claude through your family's safety rules, and you can see how it's going without reading over their shoulder.

1. Create your account.Sign up at yougoodai.com. It's free during the beta and we cover the AI costs; there are no AI-company accounts or API keys to set up.
2. Set your display name. On the Memberspage, the “How your family sees you” box sets the name your kids know you by. When a rule steps in, they'll see “Notice from Mom” instead of “Notice from your guardian.” Optional, but it makes every notice feel like it comes from you, because it does.
3. Invite your kid. Members → Invite Member. They get an email invitation and accept it on their own device: iPhone (TestFlight during the beta), Android (Play internal track), or any browser. Their chat works immediately.
4. Review the nine default protections. Visit the Policiespage. Violence, weapons, self-harm, adult content, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and vaping, gambling, and profanity monitoring are already on. You don't have to configure anything on day one; see how the safety rules work when you want to make them yours.
5. Try your first block.From your kid's chat (or before you hand the device over), ask something a default covers, like how to buy beer. You'll see the honest guardian notice on their side, and within seconds an email alert on yours: which rule, which kid, never the conversation. That round trip is the whole product in one moment.
6. Choose how you hear about things. In Settings → Notifications, pick instant emails, daily or weekly digests, or both, per type of event.
