Is this spying on my kid?
No, and the design makes it structurally impossible. Parents see safety events and broad topics, never conversations; there is no transcript view to unlock. When a rule acts, the kid sees it act, every time. The one narrow exception is an ask-first approval, where the parent sees that single request (up to 200 characters) because nobody can approve something they cannot read, and the kid sees it being held.
What AI does my kid actually get?
ChatGPT and Claude, the same assistants they would use anyway, with a picker to switch between them. During the beta we sponsor the AI usage, so there are no AI-company accounts or API keys to set up.
What does it cost?
Free during the beta, including the AI costs, with fair-use rate limits.
What happens when something is blocked?
Your kid sees an honest notice with your rule's message and your name if you have set one. The blocked request never reaches the AI, and you get an alert saying which rule and which kid, never the conversation itself.
Can my kid tell it's on?
Yes, by design. Blocked messages are marked with a shield, notices say which rule acted, and held requests say they are waiting for a guardian. There is no covert mode.
What do you store on your servers?
We never store your family's conversations, and we never ask for your family's sensitive personal data, so neither can leak. We keep account basics (names, emails, your rules) and safety-event labels like 'Block Violence matched, 3:42pm'. Chat history lives on your family's own devices. Very long AI answers wait in an encrypted holding space until the app picks them up, then are erased.
What devices does it work on?
iPhone (via TestFlight during the beta), Android (Google Play internal track during the beta), and any web browser.
Can my kid run code with it?
The AI can write code for learning, but YouGoodAI never executes code. Code is shown as text with a caption saying exactly that, and on phones it is view-only.
How is this different from parental control apps like Bark or Qustodio?
Those tools manage the device: screen time, app blocking, web filters. YouGoodAI governs what happens inside the AI conversation itself, in both directions. They solve different problems and many families will use both.
How do I stop or leave?
Delete your account from the dashboard and the family's access ends. Your conversations were never on our servers to begin with; whatever history exists is on your own devices, under your control.
